Schubert Rosamunde Music Schubert Symphony No. 8 in B Minor D759 Schubert Symphony No. 9 in C Major D944 Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra - 1950, 1951, 1953
The 9th Symphony here was performed in Salzburg just a couple of weeks before the one on the previous issue 1180. This one is very exciting, strong and affirmative. Normally, one would expect this kind of performance more from the Berlin Philharmonic, but here is an exception. The Vienna Philharmonic goes wild here. The other items, The 8th Symphony and the Rosamunde Music are all studio recordings in the Musikverein. As usual, the performance is less exciting but very well played.
We encourage you to also browse through the rest of our collection, including recordings from the creator of this website and remasters Eduardo Chibás, the renowned pianist Artur Schnabel and other historical conductors.
